One councilor was responsible for the Green Party running a full slate of 308 candidates in 2004 and 2006: Kevin Colton.

As Organizing Chair in 2004 he worked up to 80 hours a week as a volunteer to ensure that the party had 308 candidates so that every single Canadian had the right to vote Green.

In the 2006 election he served as the Campaign Team Chair, again helping to lead the Green Party to a full slate of candidates and our best election result ever.

With professional experience, including project management, in the telecommunications industry he will bring essential skills and leadership to council as Chair.

Kevin has the essential skills to lead council and the party to the next level.

Jim Harris

Leader, Green Party of Canada

Kevin Colton has amazing organizational talent which is complemented by his dogged hard work and excellent people skills. The GPC can do no better.

Frank de Jong

Leader, Green Party of Ontario

Kevin Colton is simply one of the best people I work with in the Green Party. Kevin is a great organizer but more than that he is courageous and caring.

George Read

Leader, Green Party of Alberta

Kevin has shown amazing talent both on council, and as a liaison to our community. Even with the loads of a councillor he is always willing to take time to teach those who are interested, and is one of our most steadfast pillars.  Faced with a wall, Kevin will never back down, but offers paths around. As the Green focus is on solutions, I firmly believe Kevin's ability to work through obstacles will be an immense asset.

Kim Warnke

Founder of Calgary Centre EDA

Kevin has been at the core of the immensely successful federal GPC election team in both 2004 and 2006.  He is a realist with the steady hand of a leader.

Chris Bradshaw

Co-Chair, 2006 campaign team

Interim GPC Leader, 2001-2003

I fully endorse Kevin Colton.  His commitment to the party and especially to the Federal Council was always remarkable.  He is a great organizer, a great debater of ideas, and he seeks to improve the long term vision of the party.

Lynette Tremblay,

GPC Deputy Leader

Kevin has demonstrated a firm grasp of the current situation within the Green Party; our strengths, weaknesses, and how to proceed successfully. Kevin has also proven organizational and teamwork abilities and commitment, as shown in the 2006 election, and is presenting a comprehensive plan for the Party as Chair which is fair and thoughtful. I believe Kevin would be a trustworthy choice for Chair of our Party.

Andrew Lewis,

GPC Deputy Leader

2004-2006 GPC candidate, Saanich Gulf Islands

Kevin Colton is a driving force and inspiration to Green Party members.  He is highly-organized and a creative thinker when it comes to getting out the "green" message.  He is also a pleasure to work with in any capacity.  I strongly recommend Kevin for the position of Party Chair of the Green Party of Canada.

Drina Read

Green Party of BC Councillor

Vancouver-Burrard Constituency Association Executive

What I remember most about being part of Kevin's little band of organizers in 2004 was how much fun we had, all the while gaining our first full slate of 308 against tremendous odds.

Kevin is a fun guy and an efficient guy who leaves no enemies in his wake - and that can be a rare thing in the sometimes contentious federal Green Party.

Sure Nova Scotia made achieving a full slate provincially on its first try seem effortless, but when we were starting out - we were only federal then - Kevin always treated our 2 person NS group as seriously as the bigger, better organized provinces.

Michael Marshall

Former GPC Organizer for Nova Scotia

Coordinator of 2006 full slate in Nova Scotia provincial election

Kevin Colton works tremendously hard for the Green Party of Canada.  He has worked on the 2004 and 2006 elections.  I fully support Kevin Colton.

Sheila G. Richardson

Nova Scotia Rep on GPC Council

I worked under Kevin as a provincial organizer in 2004.  He is tactful and diplomatic, and firm when necessary.  He encourages collective solutions and positive thinking.  I think these qualities would make him an excellent chair to direct the federal council.

Darcy Kraus,

Former GPC Organizer and GPC Councillor for Alberta

2004 GPC Candidate

Kevin Colton moves things forwards by understanding reality and staying true to Green principles. He is a person who pulls people together to get the work that needs to be done to build the party accomplished. The Party needs more people like Kevin at every level.

Phil Spidle

Former GPC Organizer and Green Party of BC Councillor

I wanted to let you know that I will be supporting you as the candidate for Chair of GPC Council.  I think that your project and programme management approach to the work of the GPC is an important one to focus council, set priorities and take action from there.  This is a more coordinated approach.  I think that your style will be compatible with the skills and assets that Jean brings to the table as E.D.

Erik Millet

New Brunswick Rep on GPC Council

I have served on council for the past couple of years and have found Kevin to be level headed and reliable.  I endorse Kevin's candidacy for Chair and believe he has a lot that he can contribute to the next council.

Jeremy Stiles

Kevin has demonstrated strong commitment to the Green Party over the last few years and a voice of common sense.  Best wishes to his candidacy ...

Shelley Willson

Throughout my membership in the GPC and in particular during my tenure on Council I always found Kevin to be an honest, articulate and passionate member and representative. Ever willing and able to see many sides and many perspectives of an issue, he also offers creative solutions to challenges. I support his candidacy wholeheartedly.

Ken Ashdown

Former GPC Councillor

Kevin offers both dedication and a constructive point of view to council. I can not think of a better person to be the next chair of our party.

Sven Biggs
2006 Assistant BC Organizer
2006 Candidate New Westminster Coquitlam

You are a toughtful well behaved green pillar, as such the new council structure that is being put together would benefit so much by having you in the midst of the process.

Marc-André Gadoury

I fully endorse Kevin Colton for the Party Chair position. In working with Kevin over the past 2 years I am impressed with his insight into what needs to happen to make the Green Party more effective as well as with his dedication, communication abilities and organizational skills.
