I mention in my internal election campaign materials that I coordinated the GPC's first successful attempt to run 308 candidates in 2004. This success would not have been possible without the efforts of dozens of staff members and volunteers. Click the link to read the original email bulletin that thanked some of our key contributors and confirmed we had achieved our full slate - it was an exciting time! Many of the individuals named in the email contributed as much time and effort as I did during that campaign, or more, and I wanted to thank them once again.

We made history today.
I have just received confirmation that we have candidates registered in all 308 ridings in Canada. The Green Party has become only the fourth in Canadian electoral history to run a full slate. It is an incredible and monumental accomplishment that I think we will all remember for years to come!
Hundreds of our members stepped up to help us achieve this goal. Candidates and their campaign teams, our rank-and-file members and members of the public worked to resolve problems. It was ordinary people just like you that made this possible.
There is a risk in naming names in an email like this - there were so many people who helped out I don't want to forget someone. But I have worked closely with a number of provincial and regional organizers over the past few months. These team members were the ones who dealt with the on-the-ground details of recruiting, training and registering candidates and I think their hard work deserves a public acknowledgement. If you know them I'm sure they would appreciate a personal thank you as well:

Nous passons à l’histoire aujourd’hui.
Je viens de recevoir la confirmation que nous avons des candidats inscrits dans les 308 circonscriptions du Canada. Le Parti vert est seulement le quatrième de l’histoire électorale canadienne à offrir une représentation partout. Il s’agit d’une réalisation monumentale que nous ne sommes pas près d’oublier!
Des centaines de membres nous ont aidés à atteindre l'objectif. Les candidats et leurs équipes, les membres dans nos rangs et les membres du public ont collaboré pour régler les problèmes. Grâce à vous tous, nous avons réussi.
C’est toujours risqué de nommer des noms dans un message du genre : tant de personnes ont contribué et je crains d’en oublier. J’ai travaillé en collaboration avec les coordonnateur provinciaux et régionaux au cours des quelques derniers mois, ceux-là-mêmes qui travaillaient sur le terrain à recruter, à entraîner et à inscrire les candidats, et je pense que leur travail acharné mérite une reconnaissance publique. Si vous les connaissez, n’hésitez pas à les remercier personnellement.
